Website and Email are important parts for anyone who runs a business from home. You, as a Freelancer, need a virtual home to represent yourself or your business and along with it, you need an email account as a means of communication.
For these services we do not recommend using free services. The website and email account should only be about your business and not advertise for other companies. It would look unprofessional and does not represent yourself or your business. Free websites usually place ads on the websites you set up, and the email will also not refer to just your business/personal name.
In addition, free email providers such as Yahoo!, Google, etc., are not so welcome with your clients for security and privacy reasons (and, again, it also doesn’t look professional). It is better to look for a hosting provider and set up a professional email account. This has the advantage that, at the same time, a professional website can be set up as a point of contact for customers and for the marketing of translation services.
The website can contain your contact details (e.g., email address) and specifics about your business. The email address will provide your customer with the means of reaching you for the first request regarding your services. And after a business connection has been established, it can serve as your main connection unless you allow a connection by phone (which is recommended, especially in the case of an emergency).
Once you have an email account, you might also want to look for a good desktop email client. And if Outlook from Microsoft is too expensive for you, then we recommend Thunderbird from Mozilla.
